Import and Export Inspection in Guatemala

S2 Global turnkey operation for inspection of imports and exports.

In 2018, the Port Authority of Santo Tomas de Castilla (EMPORNAC) in Guatemala awarded S2 Global, Inc. a multi-year contract to provide an integrated turnkey scanning service for the non-intrusive screening of 100% of their imports and exports, an annual volume of 300,000+ containers per year.

The inspection sites at the Port are located to manage both imports and exports. Drivers enter the site using automated entries minimizing the inspection time.

To facilitate and optimize operations, S2 Global established an in-country entity. The employees working for S2 Screening Solutions in Guatemala, include an operations team consisting of highly trained image analysts/operators and site supervisors and a technical team consisting of field service engineers who maintain system performance and uptime.

CertScan® is employed to transmit data between the scanning sites and RAC allowing for remote management by our highly trained local employees.

S2 Global shares information about seizures, methods of smuggling, and scanning techniques through our training program to ensure site personnel stay up to date on best practices.
